Sublease Agreement Template - Vermont

A Vermont Sublease Agreement is a legally binding contract that establishes the details of a deal between a tenant and a subtenant - the latter replaces the subtenant taking over as a person or an organization entitled to use the rental unit. You may leave your house for a while or decide your company does not need to lease the office space anymore - however, if for any reason the termination of the lease is not a possible option, you can find a third party willing to take your place and pay the rent to the landlord directly or via you as an intermediary.

Notify the property owner about your intention to sublet unless the lease grants you the right to re-rent the property without an advance warning. The sublease must include the names of the parties, describe the real estate the subtenant will live or work in, state the duration of the contract, outline the limit of rights and responsibilities of the subtenant, and determine which party will be responsible for the general maintenance of the property.
