This letter shall be sent certified to all governing bodies of counties or cities in which the proposed area is located, and the
last known address of all record landowners whose property is within two thousand six hundred forty feet, or one half
mile from the border of the proposed mine plan area; and adjacent to the proposed mine plan area, land upon which
the mine plan area is located, or adjacent land having a legal relationship with either the applicant or the owner of the
land upon which the mine plan area is located.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Land Reclamation Program strongly encourages you to double check with the
County Assessor's Office to make sure of the names and addresses of the last known record of landowners within two thousand
six hundred and forty feet or within one half mile of the mine plan boundary; and adjacent to the proposed mine plan area, land
upon which the mine plan area is located, or adjacent land having a legal relationship with either the applicant or the owner of the
land upon which the mine plan area is located.
Distribute the public notification letter after the department’s Land Reclamation Program informs you to do so by certified mail.
