Getting Started: Your Guide to TemplateRoller's Forms and Templates

There are several ways to find the document you need. Search our database by title or form number for government-related paperwork. Enter a part of the title or type of procedure for situation-specific agreements, contracts, and letters, or use a common topic like “car sale” or “party planning” for a list of all related templates. Also, you can use our Tag Catalog.

On TemplateRoller, tags act as navigational signposts, guiding users to documents relevant to their needs. A tag is a keyword or phrase that indicates that documents or templates belong to a specific topic. For example, in the Bill of Sale tag, you will find documents of various types, such as a Vehicle Bill of Sale, Boat Bill of Sale, Firearm Bill of Sale, Livestock Bill of Sale, and the Bill of Sale from all 50 states.

TemplateRoller provides free forms in PDF and occasionally in Word (Docx) layout as well.

1. Open the document you need and press the green button to "Download PDF" or to “Download Word” that is located below the title.
2. You will then be redirected to the download page. Your download should begin after you press the “Download PDF” button.

If you can’t find the downloaded file, please check the folder “Downloads” in your browser. Contact us if something goes wrong.

You can download most templates and forms in PDF and Word format. However, some documents can only be downloaded in PDF format. For example, some Canadian Federal Legal Forms can only be downloaded in PDF format, as you will need Acrobat Reader to fill out these forms.

Our forms and templates are not available for sale or delivery.

To Print a Document:

1. On the page of the form or template you wish to print, select the document format that you want to download. The options available will either be in the format of PDF or Word.
2. After this, a page for downloading the document will open, click the download button. Alternatively, you may click the “View in browser” option and select the printer icon to print from your internet browser.
3. If the document doesn’t open immediately, then you need to find the “downloads” tab in your browser and find the document you just downloaded.
4. Once the document has opened, you can print it by clicking the printer icon.

The majority of forms are fillable, but there are specific PDF forms that lack fillable fields. These forms are recommended to be printed and manually completed or filled out using the TemplateRoller editor.

First Option: If you found the document you need on the TemplateRoller website, you can fill it out online.

1. Open the page of the appropriate document.
2. Click the “Fill PDF Online” link.
   

Second Option: Editing your own document. TemplateRoller offers various ways to upload PDFs for editing and signing:

1. Select the Upload option that can be found next to the search bar.
2. From your Hard Drive, drag and drop your document into the box. You can choose to either drag your downloaded forms or click on the button to find the file and upload it.
3. Use Dropbox to upload your document.
4. Take advantage of One Drive to upload your file.
5. Make use of Google Drive for uploading your document(s) by connecting your account and easily importing your document(s) to be edited and signed.
