Disciplinary Removals of Students With Disabilities
 The Student must begin receiving services on the 11
th
day of removal.
o Consult with teacher to determine services to enable student to participate in general education
curriculum and continue to make progress on goals in the IEP.
 Notify parents by letter on the date of the determination regarding whether or not the removal will constitute a

o Provide parents with procedural safeguards on the date of the determination that removal constitutes a
change of placement.
 MDR and IEP meeting must be held within 10 days of the determination that the removal is a change of
