PEI FISHER IES ACT R EGULATIONS
, SECTION 1(i) “PRIMARY PROCESSING” MEANS
CLEANING, FILLETING, SPLITTING, EXTRACTING, DIVIDING INTO PORTIONS, SALTING, ICING,
FREEZING, COOKING, PICKLING, DRYING, CANNING, BOTTLING OR REDUCING FISH. PRIMARY
PROCESSING LICENSE INCLUDES SECONDARY PROCESSING.

(C) AS PER THE
, SECTION 1(j) “SECONDARY PROCESSING” MEANS
ANY PROCESSING STAGE BEYOND PRIMARY PROCESSING, WHEREBY, FURTHER VALUE IS ADDED
TO A FISH PRODUCT THROUGH PREPARATION INTO A CONSUMER PACK.
(D) AS PER THE
PEI FISHER IES ACT R EGULATIONS
SECTION 1(f) “LOBSTER COOK ROOM” MEANS A
BUILDING OR PORTION OF A BUILDING OPERATED IN CONJUCTION WITH A LOBSTER POUND, USED
FOR COOKING LOBSTER – MAXIMUM SIZE 144 SQ.FT.
(E) FISH THAT IS INTENDED FOR PROCESSING SHALL BE ADEQUATELY ICED OR CHILLED WHILE BEING
HELD OR TRANSPORTED AND SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM CONTAMINATION AND THE WEATHER.
