Please contact the NMDGF Special Use Permits Manager at 505-476-8064 prior to submitting the application.

Renewal forms must be received before March 31
for each permit year or your permit will be placed inactive.
This permit is issued under the condition that every furbearer trapped is documented and a report is submitted to the
District Officer or Area Office each month.
The following quadrupeds are hereby defined as fur-bearing animals, to wit: muskrat, mink, weasel, beaver, otter, nutria,
masked or blackfooted ferret, ringtail cat, raccoon, pine marten, coatimundi, badgers, bobcat and all species of foxes. These
animals and their pelts are hereby declared to be the property of the state until they have been lawfully taken, killed or
captured as provided by Sections 17-5-1 through 17-5-9 NMSA 1978.
