APPLICATION FEE: $100. Incomplete or unreadable applications will be returned. The applicable fee must accompany application.
*All Ohio stallions must be registered with the Ohio State Racing Commission before breeding any mare. Ohio Stallions not
registered before breeding any mare must register and pay the $100 Registration Fee plus a $100 Penalty Fee per mare bred to
obtain Stallion Eligibility for any resulting foals to be eligible for nomination to the Ohio Sires Stakes or Ohio Fairs Fund races*
RC Standardbred 3769-15-34: (B)
A Standardbred Stallion Eligibility Certificate must be obtained to make a stallion’s foals eligible to Ohio Fairs
Fund and Ohio Standardbred Development Fund Races. The issuance of a Stallion certificate for this horse is contingent upon the fulfillment of
requirements for eligibility set forth in Sections 3769.082 & 3769.085 of the Ohio Revised Code, as well as State Racing Commission rules pertaining to
the Fairs Fund and the Standardbred Development Fund. (C) Registration of stallions remaining in the state for more than one breeding season must be
renewed annually by November 30th preceding the (next) breeding season on forms
provided by the commission. Beginning with the 1986 breeding
season the renewal fee shall be twenty-five dollars.
Important: To be eligible for registration, a stallion shall either be: (1) Owned by an Ohio resident and regularly standing the entire stud
season in Ohio; or (2) Owned by a resident of another jurisdiction but regularly standing the entire stud season in Ohio and leased by an Ohio
resident for a term of ten or more years. A copy of the lease required by the Ohio Revised Code must accompany this application.
