Pakistan (Vide Rule 21 of the Pakistan Citizenship Rules)

Birth Registration
•
A child born to a Pakistani national in our area of jurisdiction should be registered with us through
S-1 form preferably within 6 months of the child’s birth.
•
This form can be submitted at our consular window in person/ by hand of a runner or via post.
•
The information about our consular jurisdiction, opening hours and closed holidays is available on
our website’s home page. We follow Central Standard Time (CST).
•
Processing time for birth registration
-7 business days with ordinary fees (US $5.00)
-2 business days with urgent fees (US $10.00)
This processing time excludes the mailing service time if the document is to be returned via
post.
•
The Consulate General does not take any responsibility about loss of documents in mail.
Requirements for submission of S-1 Form:
The form must be filled out completely.

Photocopy of father’s Pakistani Passport or National I.D. Card.
3.
One notarized photocopy of child’s birth certificate.
4.
Two photographs of the child.
A copy of father's proof of residence in our area of jurisdiction (A copy of State ID or Driver license

Fee US $ 5.00 (ordinary processing) or US $ 10.00 (urgent processing) payable to Consulate General
6.
of Pakistan in the form of money order or cashier’s check only.
7. A self-addressed, pre-paid return envelope with tracking number (if the document’s return is required
via post)
