How to Fill Out Form VR-217?

Form VR-217 consists of three parts:

  1. Vehicle to be Held as Collateral. The first part of the document requires individuals to provide information about the vehicle. They must designate the make of vehicle, year, body style, vehicle identification number, and title number. In addition to this, individuals must indicate information about the party that holds the security interest against the vehicle described above - the secured party, and information about the debtor. They must indicate the names of the parties and their addresses.
  2. Assignment of Security Interest. Here, individuals must state information about the assignee, and information about the security interest they are assigning. It should define the assignee's name, address, the amount of the security interest they are assigning, and the date when it was assigned.
  3. For MVA Use Only. This part of the document is supposed to be left empty. As it is stated in the title, this section will be used by the MVA to make comments on the document.
