Applicants must complete the checklists below and provide all applicable drawings at the initial kickoff meeting.
1. Architectural plans should include:
Floor plans including roof
Life safety and egress plans
Building elevation
Building sections
Construction legend
Site plan:
Metes and bounds
Block and lot numbers
Sidewalk
North arrow
Distance to corner
Curb cuts
Street with street name
Grade elevation
Fire hydrant (if within 250 ft)
Zoning district
Yard drains (area drains)
Street trees
Zoning map
Retaining walls
Special district equivalent
Sewer connection
Schedule sheet:
Doors
Partitions
Windows
General notes only pertaining to job
2. Zoning analysis should include:
Deduction floor area chart(s) with diagrams
3. Code requirements should include:
Construction classification table
Fire protection table
Egress table
4. Other items on drawing:
Handicap details pertaining to drawing (as per BC Chapter 11)
BSA# and rating indicated in drawing
Complete list of all controlled inspections on title sheet
Applicant’s written statement on the drawing indicating that the Total Gross Floor Area of Building in the
drawing is equal to the Total Gross Floor Area of Building in the PW-1 application used to assess the filing fee.
