Statutory Power of Attorney Form - Florida

Statutory Power of Attorney Form - Florida

A Florida Statutory Power of Attorney Form will allow an individual (the principal) to select themselves an agent that will have the legal rights to make financial decisions concerning the principal. This will often include property or business related finances. The agent must act in the best interests of the principal. It is also worth noting that this Florida Statutory Power of Attorney can be revoked at any given time if the principal chooses to do so. The selected agent should be reliable and this is why in the majority of cases the principal will pick a close friend or relative to represent them.

It is important that the document is signed before two witnesses (that will also have to sign the document) as well as a notary public in order for the document to be legally accepted.
