Statutory Power of Attorney Form - Missouri

Statutory Power of Attorney Form - Missouri

A Missouri Statutory Power of Attorney Form is a legal document granting another individual permission to make important financial decisions (those usually concerning businesses) on their behalf. These decisions can be of extreme importance, hence why the principal must carefully think about which individual they can trust to become their agent - someone that is reliable and someone that will still put the needs of the principal under priority. The chosen individual can also use these powers if the principal cannot communicate anymore and is classified as incapacitated. Therefore, when the principal forms the document they need to be careful about what powers they include so that they cannot be manipulated.

Before sitting down to draft and sign the Missouri Statutory Power of Attorney, both the principal and agent would need to sign the form in front of a notary public. Without this, the document cannot be legally accepted and will be considered invalid.
