Dear Mr. Langdon,
This is with reference to my case number FC-9837-883. I would like to bring to your
notice that the child support payments for this case have not been received for 5
months. Upon talking to Mr. Johnston, I realized that he was going through a financial
crunch, which is why he has not been able to make the payments on time.
I recently got an insurance payout upon maturation of a policy. This amount is
sufficient for me to handle my child’s expenses that I owe to certain facilities (since
there was a lapse in child support from her father). I am writing this letter to officially
forgive the child support arrears that Mr. Johnston owes to me. I am sure that once his
circumstances look up, he will be able to make payments on time, and any arrears will
just make things slower.
In view of all this, I request that you let Mr. Johnston know about the change in our
agreement. However, I expect all future payments to be made on time. I appreciate
your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Theresa Johnston
