Grant Deed Form - North Dakota

A North Dakota Grant Deed is a document that can be used to shift real property between individuals or entities, which is supposed to be signed by the grantor or by their authorized agent (47-10-01). The North Dakota Century Code provides residents with the format of the grant which can be found in section 47-10-06 of the code. According to the code, a grant deed shall include the name of the grantor, the name of the grantee, the amount of consideration paid, the location, and the description of the property in question (47-10-06). When a grantor transfers real property, they guarantee that the property is free from all encumbrances, unless otherwise stated in the deed (47-10-18). Encumbrances include all taxes, assessments, and all liens upon real property (47-10-17).
