Grant Deed Form - Texas

A Texas Grant Deed can be used to document the transfer of ownership of real property from one individual or entity to another. The Texas Statutes provide residents with a form of a deed which can be found in section 5.022 of those Statutes. According to it, a grant deed shall include names of the grantor and the grantee, the amount of the consideration paid, the description of the property in question, its address, and other details (5.022). Any discriminatory provisions in this type of deed shall be considered void (5.026). A grant deed shall be signed by the grantor and delivered to the grantee (5.021). It shall be acknowledged before the officer authorized to take acknowledgments, and then recorded (12.001).
