Gift Deed Form - Indiana

An Indiana Gift Deed is utilized when donating or gifting property or real estate from one person to another individual or party and where no payment is expected in the transaction. To begin writing the deed, be certain that all language and agreements in the deed are clear, since any unclear language could later be contested in court. When the person making the donation signs the gift deed a person who can attest to the authenticity of the signature will also need to be present (I.C. 32-21-2-3). All documentation and additional materials will then be submitted to the recorder's office in the county where the property is located.
