Massachusetts Postnuptial Agreement: What Is It?

A Massachusetts Postnuptial Agreement is a legal agreement created by two spouses during their marriage. It is important to note that this document will not be applicable to those that are not married. The agreement serves as a legal guarantee and contract, which outlines what will happen to a property in the event that a spouse passes away or requests a divorce.

• Each spouse should also provide full information regarding their finances including information about their assets and any properties;
• The agreement should create fair conditions;
• Agreements should be made in writing with confirmation from both parties.

After this the document will become legally binding.
