Gift Deed Form - Arizona

Gift Deed Form - Arizona

An Arizona Gift Deed is used when a person wants to gift or donate property, including real estate, to another person or party, where the receiver will not be expected to give money or other valuables in exchange for the gift. All terms of the Gift Deed must be clearly written out in the documentation to avoid having any part of the agreement later contested through the courts. Any implied provisions will be given the same legal weight as expressly written provisions of the deed (A.R.S Section 33-435). The signing of the Gift Deed will need to take place before a notary, and the deed must be delivered to the county's recorder's office where the property is located to complete the transfer (A.R.S. Section 33-401(B)).
