What Is a Football Sign Up Sheet?

A Football Sign Up Sheet is an informal document filled out by the participants of a football game. Whether you are planning a professional tournament for athletes of various ages or you are arranging a friendly competition for amateurs, there should be a list that includes the names of all participants, a short description of their physical attributes and athletic abilities, and an indication of the position each one of the players prefers.

It is advised to create a table - this way, the players will register faster knowing what to write in the document. Include the following columns: the number of the participant (which is important if you plan to give out badges or shirts with specific numbers), the name of the team (if the teams are known ahead of the game), the full name of the player, their position on the field (quarterback, wide receiver, linebacker, etc.), the abilities of the participant if their position is not determined in advance, and the contact details of the player. If the games are held outside with unlimited access to the field, you can put the registration form in locker rooms; in case the event is going to take place inside the facility with restricted access, you may collect the information at the entrance of the sports complex.
