Wedding Photography Questionnaire: What Is It?

A Wedding Photography Questionnaire refers to a list of questions prepared by a photographer for a client that wishes to hire them to photograph a wedding reception. It is essential for the soon-to-be-married couple (or the wedding planner they hired) and the photographer to be on the same page regarding all the events and activities of the wedding day that are supposed to be captured in photos. A wedding photographer will make their job easier by communicating with their client and learning what they want with the help of a customized questionnaire.

You should write down the names of people interested in your photography services, record information about the upcoming wedding (when and where it will take place so that you know if your schedule allows it and what equipment is required for a particular location), learn more about the color scheme of the event and the garments the bride, groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen will wear, find out what activities need to be photographed - from the first dance of the couple to the cake cutting ceremony, and understand what style of photography is needed - it may be formal or casual.

Note that the questionnaire can be reworked into the contract between the client and the photographer - alternatively, the latter will include the preferences indicated in the form in the agreement they draft to sign before the day of the special event.
