Grant Deed Form - South Carolina

A South Carolina Grant Deed is a legal document that is used in this state to transfer ownership of real property. The South Carolina Code Of Laws contains a form that may be found in section 27-7-10 and used to construct a grant deed. As stated by the code, a grant deed shall include the names of the grantor and the grantee, the amount of the consideration paid, the description of the real property that is being transferred, and other details (27-7-10). When a grantor is using this type of deed, they pass to the grantee the entire interest in the property they own unless otherwise stated in the deed (27-5-130).
