Gift Deed Form - Kansas

A Kansas Gift Deed is written by a person who wants to gift property, such as real estate, to another person or party, where the receiver will not be expected to give money in exchange for the gift. All terms of this document must be clearly written out to avoid having the agreement later contested through the courts. The signing of the Gift Deed will need to take place before a person who is authorized to verify the authenticity of the signature, and the deed with all other materials must be delivered to the Register of Deeds where the property is located to complete the transfer. All gift deeds are exempt from completing the Real Estate Sales Validation Questionnaire (K.S.A. 79-1437e(4)).
