Transfer on Death Deed Form - Kentucky

A Kentucky Transfer on Death Deed is a legal instrument available to any individual who knows their beneficiary - a person who will receive a property title after the death of the original owner. Also known as a Beneficiary Deed, this document can save both the grantor and the grantee time and money since there will not be a need to go through a probate process. Chapter 292 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes lists rules that must be complied with to make sure the deed is considered enforceable: the document must establish the joint tenancy if required and a copy of the deed is to be filed with the clerk of the local county.
