An Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation is a document that is used by an individual who has been chosen to be a reference in order to provide a description of the candidate's personality. The purpose of the letter is to demonstrate whether the candidate lives according to the policies indicated in the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. An Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation template can be downloaded below.
The rank of Eagle Scout is a part of the flagship program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) called Scouts BSA, which was developed for individuals aged 11 to 18. The candidates that want to participate in this program are supposed to comply with the ideas presented in the Scout Oath and Scout Law, which include several points, such as doing their duty to God, country, being morally straight, loyal, kind, obedient, and so on.
An Eagle Scout Letter of Recommendation should be based on interactions between the reference and the candidate. By analyzing those interactions, the reference can provide information to the Eagle Scout Board of Review, who will check the candidate's Eagle Scout Rank Application and ensure that all of the requirements have been met.
