An Academic Appeal Letter is a written statement prepared by the student and sent to the educational institution to challenge the fairness of their decision. Whether you were dismissed from the university for bad grades, received a warning for misconduct, or failed one or several classes, you can argue the ruling if you think you have a chance to change the opinion of the institution's committee or particular employee who adopted the decision. In your letter, you can share your opinion on the situation, explain why you think the decision was unjust or wrong, or admit the correctness of the decision but ask for another chance to prove your worth to the college or university.
A proper appeal will convince your school or university that you are a worthy student, you still have an ability to succeed academically, and - especially if this is the first time you have been in trouble - you deserve another opportunity to continue receiving education as you did before.
