Transfer on Death Deed Form - North Carolina

A North Carolina Transfer on Death Deed is a legally binding document that certifies the property owner's intention to transfer the items indicated in writing to their beneficiary upon the death of the grantor. Unlike other statements of a similar nature, this deed will let the original owner keep their possessions - the beneficiary becomes the owner only after the grantor passes away. Note that the grantor is obliged to compose and execute the Beneficiary Deed in accordance with the rules listed in the North Carolina Statutes: sign the papers before a notary public to acknowledge your wishes properly and present a copy of the document to the register of deeds.
