Self-proving Affidavit Form - Idaho

An Idaho Self-Proving Affidavit Form is used to validate a will and make a written statement concerning the authenticity of the document. It also confirms the fact that the person drafting the will itself did so completely freely and not under duress. The main advantage of adding this document to the will is that it results in the reduction of time that the will is in the probate process during court proceedings. This may not seem particularly important – however, this process is usually very lengthy and without this process commencing, the assets cannot be distributed to the rightful heirs.

Before you draft an Idaho Self-Proving Affidavit, we would suggest becoming familiar with the way that the document needs to be signed. There are specific laws in place for this and avoiding them will result in the invalidity of the form. In Idaho, apart from the notary public there must also be two witnesses present.
