It is usually presented on one page with several sections, which can include the following:

  1. The Title. Generally, a report card should start with a title that should be descriptive and exact. It can be a simple "Report Card" followed by the name of the school or in reverse. Some schools add their coat of arms or other emblems to the document to make it more recognizable.
  2. Information About the Student. This part of the report card is supposed to provide identifying information about the students whose grades are being demonstrated. It can include the student's name, their school year, the grade they are in, their teacher's name, and other details.
  3. Progress Details. The section with progress details commonly occupies the majority of the report card. It can be presented in a timetable with two columns. One will contain a list of all of the subjects that the student has attended during a certain period of time, the other one will designate the grades that the student has received.
  4. Instructions. It can be convenient to include explanations that will help parents to understand the information presented in the report card. It can contain a grading system - a scale that will show which level of success each grade means.
