Mechanic Invoice Template

A Mechanic Invoice is produced by a mechanic after completing agreed service work for a car, with the permission and agreement of the client. The invoice will contain details about the mechanic and location of the service center along with a detailed breakdown of all the work carried out. The list will usually be separated into labor costs (the costs for carrying out a specific service) and car parts required to complete the job.

Alternate Names:

  • Mechanic Shop Invoice;
  • Mechanic Repair Invoice.

A Mechanic Invoice will also contain and detail the specific terms and conditions which could include information on warranties and payment conditions. The details of the payment conditions should be specified by outlining the various accepted methods of payment along with the deadline date for making the payment.

Ensure there are policies in place to tackle customers who do not pay, particularly those that have already collected their vehicle. In this case, you would be within right to start a court case against the customer. If the deadline date has expired and the vehicle is still on your premises - you could withhold returning the car until all payments have been made. This is only possible if you have appropriate policies in place that are reflected in the terms and conditions.
