Self-proving Affidavit Form - Delaware

A Delaware Self-Proving Affidavit Form is needed when an individual wants to confirm the legitimacy of a will. This can be done in two ways: by binding the form to the will or by including a clause in the will itself – the chosen method does not matter too much. What matters the most is the function that the document carries out. By signing this form, it ensures that the court accepts the will in question without any queries and in addition, the probate process timing will be significantly reduced. This is because witnesses are not required to go to the court in person. The signatures that they placed in the Delaware Self-Proving Affidavit will be sufficient.

For the document to be legally recognized, it should be signed appropriately. Local state laws state that the form should be signed by the individual creating the will along with two witnesses – all three of these individuals must sign the form in front of the notary public for it to be notarized accordingly.
