The Colorado Generic Bill of Sale is the document you fill out to record the fact of the item transaction from one party, called "the seller", to another, called "the buyer". It is most often used during the sale of all kinds of personal items, like electronics, bicycles, jewelry, furniture, and others. All properly completed Colorado Bills of Sale are legal documents accepted by any official agency. For the form to be legal and to protect you effectively, fill it out as follows:

1. Indicate the full name, physical address, and photo ID number of the seller. Provide the same set of information about the buyer;

6. Very often, the form will include the seller's disclosure, stating that the item description is true and the seller is the legal owner of the item.
