United States Department of Defense
The U.S. Department of Defense is the largest of the 15 United States federal executive departments. Its charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies of government dealing with the many branches of the United States Armed Forces and national security.
The Department is lead by The Secretary of Defense - an official reporting directly to the President of the United States. The DoD has three large subordinate departments within its structure: the U.S. Department of the Army, the U.S. Department of the Navy, and the U.S. Department of the Air Force.
